Pražská zoo přivítala historicky první mládě vombata narozené v České republice. Malá samička, pojmenovaná Mersey, se narodila loni v září a nyní se začíná objevovat mimo matčin vak. Rodiči jsou pětiletá Winkleigh z Tasmánie a skoro čtyřletý Cooper ze Zoo Hannover.
„Samec Cooper to neměl s Winkleigh jednoduché,“ říká ředitel Zoo Praha Miroslav Bobek. „Ale nakonec se sblížili a výsledkem je naše roztomilá Mersey.“ Tito vačnatci jsou nejbližšími příbuznými koal a jsou známí svým kostkovým trusem.
Návštěvníci mohou Mersey spatřit během komentovaného krmení každý den kolem 14. hodiny v Darwinově kráteru v dolní části zoo. Přijďte se podívat na nový přírůstek a užít si den plný zábavy v Zoo Praha!
